The third phase of this project calls for the restoration and preservation of Cumston Hall's unique aesthetic and architectural features. Phase III improvements include:

>>  preservation and restoration of Cumston Hall's 103 stained glass windows
>>  restoration of hand-painted murals and frescoes
>>  roof maintenance and improvement
>>  refurbishing special features such as antique lighting fixtures, and ornamental plaster and woodwork
>>  endowment funding for long-term maintenance and repair

To accompany his gift of the Hall to the Town of Monmouth, Dr. Cumston also established a fund with at principal of $10,000, the income to be used for designated purposes in the care of the building and surrounding grounds. Expansion of this endowment fund will allow Cumston Hall to plan for the long-term capital needs and preservation of its architectural and aesthetic characteristics.
